Intro to Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

DATES TBA

Richmond, CA (near Berkeley)

Join fellow practitioners for a hands-on introduction to biodynamic craniosacral therapy, its language, theory and practice.

The goal of this workshop is to make a vast subject accessible and useful. In addition to the cranial rhythm, Biodynamics recognizes slower, deeper rhythms–or "tides"–and other phenomena defined as mid-line, mid-tide, long-tide, primary respiration, and the Breath of Life. We learn to recognize and work with these phenomena, encouraging the body’s natural ability to reorganize patterns and move toward health.

In class, practitioners may realize they have previously encountered some of these tidal expressions. The workshop will offer methods and vocabulary for deepening into the work. Students will come away with a better understanding of the Biodynamic model, its slower tides and rhythms, and the potency of this work within the functions of the human being. We will also begin to look at embryology as it relates to this work.

The format will include perceptual explorations and exercises, hands-on practice, lecture and discussion.

This workshop is appropriate for practitioners versed in other craniosacral approaches as well as beginners.
